Workshops with German and São Paulo researchers will be funded
The São Paulo Research Fountation (FAPESP) and the Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts (StMBW) – represented by the Bavarian Academic Center for Latin America (BAYLAT) – announce a new call for proposals.
The 2017 call is designed to provide financial support to bring together a Bavaria-São Paulo cohort of early career researchers and PhD students who are about to defend their thesis to take part in workshops focusing on building links for future collaboration and enhancing the researchers’ career opportunities.
FAPESP and the Free State of Bavaria will co-fund the workshops. Proposals will be accepted in all fields of knowledge.
Workshops must be coordinated by two leading researchers, one from a higher education or research institutions in Bavaria, one from a higher education or research institution in the State of São Paulo.
Workshop coordinators from São Paulo must be or have been principal or co-principal investigators of research projects funded by FAPESP within at least one of the following FAPESP funding lines: Thematic Projects, Young Investigators Award (JP), Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs), and Research Partnership for Technological Innovation (PITE).
The workshops will take place, one in the State of São Paulo and one in the Free State of Bavaria. Up to 40 researchers can take part in each workshop.
The first workshop must take place between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. The second workshop must take place between the January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019.
The deadline for applications is June 19, 2017.
