FAPESP and Universidad de Salamanca issue call for proposals Versão em português
FAPESP and Universidad de Salamanca (USAL), Spain make public a call to define the conditions for submission of proposals for exchange of researchers from the State of São Paulo, Brazil, and from the USAL, Spain, within the scope of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement between the institutions.
In Spain, the call is open to main investigators leading groups of Excellence within Castilla y León and groups recognized within USAL, who work with or foresee future collaborations in developing projects with groups eligible through FAPESP.
In the State of São Paulo, the call is open to principal investigators of ongoing research projects funded by FAPESP within the support lines: Regular Research Awards, Thematic Projects, Young Investigators, or Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs).
Proposals should include the names of the researchers from both, the State of São Paulo and USAL and clearly state the mutual benefits of the collaboration.
The call invite research proposals on the priority areas: Physics (semiconductor, pulsed laser, spectroscopy), Mathematics, Climate, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences (parasitology, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, neurosciences, cardiology, cancer), Agriculture (microbiology and genetic, molecular biology), Nursing, Pharmacology, Law, History, Pedagogy, Librarianship and Documentation.
FAPESP will provide funding of up to €$10,000 per proposal, for the period established in the award, to cover reasonable research-related expenses including workshop realization expenses and mobility expenses.
USAL will award a maximum of €$10,000 to the best evaluated projects that have been selected by an ad hoc committee.
The activities foreseen in this project must start within the timeframe of the main FAPESP research grant. The maximum duration of each project is 24 months, non-extendable.
The closing date for submission of proposals is April 12th, 2013.
