FAPESP - Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG): Amendment nº1 to the Agreement Versão em português
Amendment nº 1 to the Cooperation Agreement signed on July 1st, 2015, between the Sao Paulo Research Foundation and the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science.
The Sao Paulo Research Foundation, represented by its President, Prof. JOSÉ GOLDEMBERG, in the exercise of the powers delegated by Act of the Governor of the State of São Paulo, published in the Official Gazette of the State, of August 22nd, 2015, hereinafter referred to as FAPESP, and the MAX-PLANCK-GESELLSCHAFT ZUR FÖRDERUNG DER WISSENSCHAFTEN, represented by its President Prof. Dr. Martin Stratmann and its Secretary General Rüdiger Willems hereinafter referred to as MPG, both FAPESP and MPG are hereinafter referred to as "Parties”:
RECOGNIZING the positive results of the partnership between FAPESP and MPG and the wish to continue this partnership, established in the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Signatories on July 1st, 2015 by implementing new tandem groups in the years to come and by extending the cooperation to other types of calls (eg. for projects, joint workshops and symposia, etc.);
By, this Addendum the Parties AGREE to change the clauses addressed below, as follows:
I. Include the following sub item in the Clause Forth:
c) The Parties will establish collaboration activities according to Clause 2 and in accordance with the scientific relevance and the national legislation in each country of the Parties and their own budget availability.
II. The Cooperation Agreement will be extended for ten years from June 30, 2020.
III. Except as specifically amended hereby, the terms and conditions of the Cooperation Agreement remain in full force and effect.
Therefore, in mutual consent of the Parties, this Amendment is signed in two copies, in English and Portuguese, both texts being equally authentic.
