FAPESP and BAYLAT will fund workshops in São Paulo and Bavaria Versão em português
A scientific workshop is an excellent opportunity to build a scientific network of people with common interests. Following this stream of thought, FAPESP announces the fourth call for proposals for workshops in partnership with the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts of the Free State of Bavaria (StMWK), represented by the Bavarian Academic Center for Latin America (BAYLAT).
The FAPESP-BAYLAT partnership, which began with an agreement signed in 2012, has already resulted in the launch of six calls for proposals, one of them under the São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration (SPRINT) program.
Through this present call, FAPESP and BAYLAT aim to encourage the development of future collaborations. The agencies will jointly fund workshops that will bring together early-stage researchers and PhD students who are about to defend their thesis from Bavaria and the State of São Paulo.
The call is open to all fields of knowledge. Each proposal must present the design of two workshops, one in the Free State of Bavaria and the other in the State of São Paulo. Similarly, each proposal must be jointly developed by a researcher from each state, who will act as workshop coordinators. These coordinators are expected to be senior researchers in their fields of knowledge.
Up to 40 researchers can take part in each workshop.
Who may submit proposals?
Proponents from the State of São Paulo must be or have been Principal or Co-Principal Investigators of research projects funded by FAPESP within at least one of the following FAPESP funding lines: Thematic Projects, Young Investigators Grant (YIG), Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (CEPIDs/RIDCs), and Research Partnership for Technological Innovation (PITE).
Proposals must be submitted until October 10th, 2019.
