Call for Proposals for Joint Cooperation in Science and Technology - Italy-Brazil is open Versão em português

FAPESP, through the coordination of the National Council of State Research Supporting Foundations (CONFAP), and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) are open Call for Proposals, with registration until February 6, 2020.
In the scope of FAPESP, the opportunity is directed to interested researchers, linked to Higher Education or Research Institutions of the State of São Paulo. Proposals must be processed according to the rules and guidelines of the Regular Research Grant modality.
Call FAPESP-MAECI will receive proposals in the following areas of knowledge:
1. Artificial Intelligence
2. Basic Sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics)
3. Communicable diseases
4. Distributed power generation from renewable sources
5. Nutrition and metabolic diseases
6. Precision Agriculture
7. Space science
8. Sustainable production and use of strategic minerals
Research proposals will have two or more Responsible Researchers: one in São Paulo State and one in Italy. In addition to the two, proposals may include Responsible Researchers from one or more Brazilian states whose Research Support Foundation (FAP) has joined the call for proposals. They are the states of Alagoas, Amazonas, Espirito Santo, Federal District, Goiás, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Para, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Tocantins.
FAPESP will be responsible for financing the costs of the São Paulo State research team. MAECI will fund the research team from Italy and the other FAPs participating in the call, the teams from their respective states.
