FAPESP launches new call with UK Academies Versão em português
The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) announces a new call for proposals which aims to stimulate scientific collaboration between researchers from the State of São Paulo and the United Kingdom.
The call for proposals is being issued with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), the Brazilian National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP) and 17 State Funding Agencies (FAPs), in Brazil, and the Newton Fund, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy and the Royal Society, in the United Kingdom.
The opportunity is open to interested researchers affiliated with research and higher education institutions from the State of Sao Paulo or from the United Kingdom. Proposals in all areas of knowledge will be welcome.
The call for proposals invites applications in three categories: Research Mobility, Research Fellowship, or Young Investigator Grant:
In Research Mobility, the main objective is to ensure collaboration between researchers in the development of ongoing research grants, or grants about to start, in the host institution in the State of São Paulo. Researcher from São Paulo not necessarily coordinate an ongoing FAPESP grant.
In the Research Fellowship category, the main objective is to ensure collaboration between researchers in the development of ongoing research grants in the host institution in the State of Sao Paulo. The UK researcher would spend from 6 to 12 months in the State of Sao Paulo. For this scheme, the UK researcher must be associated to a FAPESP PI (host researcher) in charge of an ongoing FAPESP grant.
The Young Investigators Award category in the call is an opportunity for young investigators from the UK to start a research career at a University or Research institution in the State of São Paulo through its Young Investigator Grants.
Researchers interested in this opportunity should follow calendar of the call for proposals “CONFAP - CNPq – The UK Academies 2019 Fellowships, Research Mobility, and Young Investigator Grants for UK researchers in Brazil”.
Deadline for submission of proposals is 29 May 2020.
