FAPESP and M-ERA.NET will fund projects in Materials Science and Engineering Versão em português
FAPESP and M-ERA.NET announce a new call for proposals under the cooperation agreement signed by the institutions. M-ERA.NET is an EU funded network established to support and increase the coordination of European research and innovation programs in Materials Science and Engineering.
The objective of the M-ERA.NET call 2020 (https://m-era.net/joint-calls/joint-call-2020) is to increase synergy, support for the innovation chain, international cooperation, interdisciplinarity and socio-environmental benefits. The call supports the following topics: “Modeling for materials engineering and processing”, “Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces”, “High performance composites”, “Functional materials”, “New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applications”, and “Materials for additive manufacturing”.
Proposals to FAPESP must be submitted either as a Regular Research Award or as an Innovative Research in Small Business (PIPE – phase II) scheme, including those relating to the eligibility of applicants. Exceptions are detailed in the call’s text. Researchers from the State of São Paulo interested in submitting proposals must consult FAPESP regarding their eligibility, before beginning the elaboration of the joint proposal.
Considering that June 16, 2020 is the deadline for submitting pre-proposals to the M-ERA.NET consortium, eligibility queries received by FAPESP after May 27, 2020 may not be answered in a timely manner. Every proposal must have a principal investigator from the State of São Paulo and include at least three researchers from at least two different countries participants in the call.
