FAPESP selects scientific collaborations between São Paulo and Italy Versão em português
Two proposals were approved in a call with Confap and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
FAPESP announces the result of a call for proposals with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). FAPESP was one of the 15 State Foundations for Research Support (FAPs) in Brazil to participate in the notice, thanks to the articulation with the Brazilian National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP), through which FAPESP signed with the Italian institution a cooperation agreement.
Two proponents linked to research institutions in the state of São Paulo were awarded the funding of FAPESP in the Regular Research Grant scheme. These projects, developed in conjunction with a partner research team from Italy, will be conducted collaboratively, one of which also includes the contribution of a third partner, affiliated to the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and supported by the Rio de Janeiro “Carlos Chagas Filho” Research Foundation (FAPERJ).
The call – which received proposals in eight areas of knowledge – also resulted in seven other collaborative research projects involving other FAPs. MAECI is responsible for supporting the Italian counterparts of the proposals.
