FAPESP launches call for proposals with South Korea Versão em português
Opportunity with the NRF will select scientific collaborations of up to two years in all areas of knowledge.
FAPESP, in partnership with the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), announces the opening of applications for proposals in collaborative research.
This call is for research proposals in all areas of knowledge. Research projects should be jointly created by a principal investigator linked to a research and higher education institution in the state of São Paulo and by a principal investigator belonging to a South Korean research institution.
This is the third opportunity for scientific collaboration promoted by the institutions, which since October 2019 have maintained a cooperation agreement to promote bilateral research.
Researchers linked to São Paulo institutions have until June 30th to submit their proposals through the SAGe platform – the same proposal must be submitted to the NRF by the South Korean partner, complying with the same deadline.
The projects selected by the call should last up to 24 months. FAPESP will fund up to BRL150,000 of the part of the project under the responsibility of the São Paulo PI. The South Korean PI will be funded by the NRF.
The budgets for the São Paulo and South Korea parts of the proposal need not be equal, but the teams from São Paulo and South Korea must propose similar commitment and efforts in the project plan. The projects from both sides must have similar start dates and durations.
The proposals submitted by São Paulo state researchers must follow the conditions of the Research Regular Grants support modality.
