FAPESP launches new call for proposals with UK Academies Versão em português
Brazilian State Funding Agencies (FAPs), represented by their National Council (CONFAP), and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) are launching a call for proposals for supporting researchers based in UK Universities and Research Institutions to perform research activities in institutions in Brazil, in collaboration with local colleagues.
These awards offer an opportunity for UK researchers to develop the strengths and capabilities of their research groups through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with partners in some of the best research groups in Brazil.
In this context, FAPESP offers two funding modalities that might support researchers from UK willing to work in research institutions in the state of São Paulo, Brazil:
a. Visiting Researcher Award - fapesp.br/en/visiting: a short-term award, open to UK researchers aiming to develop research projects which are either already in progress or about to be started at the host institution in the state of São Paulo. It supports travel and board for an UK researcher, sponsored by a FAPESP-funded Principal Investigator, for stays of up to 12 months.
b. Young Investigator Grant – fapesp.br/en/yia: a up to 5 years grant and fellowship, open to UK young researchers with an outstanding research record who will develop the bulk of their research in a university or research institute in the State of São Paulo, Brazil.
