Vanessa Elias de Oliveira Versão em português
Advisor to the General Coordination – Public Policy and Education Programs
She holds a master’s and a PhD in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP), with a research period at Columbia University (United States). She was a visiting professor at the University of Duisburg (Germany).
She is an associate professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), where she is a professor in the Bachelor in Public Policy and permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Public Policy. She was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Public Policy, Deputy Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Special Advisor to the Dean.
She is a CNPq's productivity researcher and works with the performance of judicial institutions (Judiciary, Public Ministry and Public Defender's Office) in public policies and with topics related to federalism, local government and implementation of public policies.
Vanessa was editor-in-chief of the Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais (RBCS), a journal of Anpocs. She is the current president of the Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP).
In the dialogue with civil society, she coordinated, together with UFMG researchers, a project focused on facilitating the presentation of public policies to the citizens. She was also one of the creators of the Brazilian Network of Women Scientists (RBMC), dedicated to mobilizing scientific knowledge to help women in vulnerable situations.
