FAPESP supports the participation in calls from the European Commission Versão em português
Researchers from the State of São Paulo can submit proposals at any time to collaborate as co-leaders of projects selected and supported by Horizon Europe.
FAPESP opens an opportunity for researchers from São Paulo to apply for participation as Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PI) in proposals prepared in response to calls from Horizon Europe, the European Commission's scientific research initiative.

Scientists linked to research and higher education institutions in the state of São Paulo may submit proposals at any time through SAGe (https://fapesp.br/sage). The call, however, requires that the proponents make an eligibility inquiry with FAPESP, exclusively by e-mail of the call (chamada-horizoneurope@fapesp.br).
For this call, candidates may submit proposals to FAPESP according to the rules and conditions of three modalities of FAPESP support – Regular Research Grant, Thematic Grant or Young Investigator Grant. Proposals will be accepted only if they make it clear that the Co-PI in São Paulo has a relevant stake in the full research project submitted to Horizon Europe and will lead a relevant part of the research effort; i.e. being a leader of work packages and/or tasks, or whose participation is key to the accomplishment of specific activities described in the Horizon Europe Proposal.
It is also essential that the proposal demonstrates that the ultimate goal of the collaboration is to contribute to the scientific and technological development of the state of São Paulo.
To evaluate the submitted proposal, FAPESP will follow the standard procedures for analysis and selection of research proposals according to the rules of the chosen modality. The proposal, however, will be funded by FAPESP only if it is also approved by Horizon Europe.
