FAPESP participates in call with Wallonie-Bruxelles International Versão em português
Researchers with current projects can submit proposals for exchanges of up to two years with research groups in Wallonia and Brussels.
FAPESP participates in the call for proposals of the National Council of State Research Support Foundations (CONFAP) with Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI), from Belgium, to support scientific exchange between research groups with current support from Brazilian state funding agencies (FAPs) and their peers at WBI.
The WBI is the international policy instrument of the French Community of Belgium, implemented by Wallonia (one of the three Belgian regions, alongside Flanders and the Brussels-Capital Region), the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and the French Community Commission of the Brussels-Capital Region (COCOF).
Joint research projects will be selected for funding for a maximum of two years. Collaborations must begin on January 1, 2025, provided that the duration of the FAPESP support related to the proposal does not end less than six months from the date, i.e., before June 30, 2025.
This call will give priority to projects in the areas of circular materials; innovation for better health; innovations for agile and safe design and production; sustainable energy systems and habitats; innovative environmental management and future agri-food chains; aeronautics and space; digitisation; and Amazon.
WBI has its own budget for this Call and FAPESP will match the funding up to the limit of US$ 10,000.00 per project, per year.
FAPESP considers eligible to submit proposals in this Call for Proposals Principal Investigators of current FAPESP Research Grants, in the following modalities: Regular (except mobility projects), Thematic Project, Young Investigator Grant, Initial Project (PI), Generation Project, Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs), Engineering Research Centers/Applied Research Centers (ERCs/ARCs), Public Education Program, Public Policy Research Program, and Research Partnership for Technological Innovation Program (PITE).
Principal Investigators of current Thematic Projects, RIDCs, ERCs, ARCs and PITEs are also eligible for the submission of proposals.
Researchers from São Paulo who sign the collaborative proposal as Principal Investigators must submit it using the CONFAP platform for the call (https://wbi.confap.org.br/) and also via SAGe (https://fapesp.br/sage) until July 12.
