Collaborative research projects with up to 24 months duration in any field of knowledge will be funded.

FAPESP and King’s College London (KCL) announce a new call for joint research projects. The aim is to promote and strengthen collaboration between researchers affiliated with King’s College London and researchers affiliated with higher education and research institutions in São Paulo State.

This is the eighth call for proposals for collaborative research in the agreement between FAPESP and KCL, and is open to proposals in all fields of knowledge.

FAPESP and KCL will fund selected projects with an equivalent total of up to USD 100,000 per project for projects with a duration of two years, without extensions – each agency will foster the part of the project which corresponds to its respective territory. A total of two proposals will be funded for this call.

The application shall include a joint research plan written by applicants from KCL and from São Paulo state. The research plan shall involve a clear description of the planned collaboration (distribution of work and methods of implementation) and the added value to be expected from the collaboration.

For applicants from São Paulo state, the collaborative proposal must be submitted to FAPESP as a Regular Research Award. Submissions must me made exclusively via the SAGe System, and the Principal Investigator from KCL must create a SAGe login and confirm participation in the project online.

The closing date for submission of proposals is August 12, 2024.
