Four projects funded by FAPESP are included in a global call led by Canada for research into climate change adaptation and mitigation.
The announcement of the projects selected in the International Collaboration Initiative for Research in Adaptation and Mitigation of Climate Change call for proposals, a cooperation between FAPESP and the New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF), from Canada, as well as institutions from Germany, the United Kingdom and other countries, was held on June 4, 2024.
The call, launched in 2023, selected 32 interdisciplinary projects involving 424 researchers from 45 countries and an amount of 60 million dollars. Lasting three years, the projects aim to bring solutions and implement climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies for vulnerable groups. Among the selected projects, four are funded by FAPESP.
