FAPESP-Microsoft announce projects selected for funding Versão em português
FAPESP and Microsoft Research announced the list of projects selected for funding under the public call for proposals of June 15, 2009 (FAPESP Call no. 06/2009) by the Microsoft Research-FAPESP Institute for IT Research and per the agreement between the institutions.

The Microsoft Research-FAPESP Institute for IT Research is an initiative designed to support research in information and communication technology by researchers affiliated with universities and research institutes in the state of São Paulo.
The goal of this collaboration between FAPESP and Microsoft is to create a network of researchers able to provide new insights that expand the capacity of computational technology to address the economic and social needs of disadvantaged rural and urban communities.
The initiative supports bold and innovative proposals that combine advancements in fundamental knowledge with the potential for applications that can have significant economic and social impacts.
