The Danish Council for Strategic Research (hereinafter referred to as “DCSR”), Bredgage 40, 1260, Copenhagen K, Denmark, represented by Dr. Peter Olesen, Chairman of the DCSR, and Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (hereinafter referred to as “FAPESP”), R. Pio XI, 1500, Alto da Lapa, 05468-901 São Paulo, SP, Brazil, represented by Dr. Celso Lafer, President, together hereinafter referred to as "Signatories";

 

RECOGNIZING that the Signatories wish to amend the Cooperation Agreement signed by the Signatories on February 18th, 2011,

 

AGREE to restate the Sections addressed below, as follows:

 

01) Delete the second paragraph of Section Six, whose wording is restated as:

  Section – 6. Intellectual Property -

“The Signatories agree that when the actions taken by virtue of this Agreement result in products of commercial value and industrial property rights and intellectual, they are regulated by national legislation and international conventions in force.

 

Participants should also observe the Intellectual Property Policy of the Signatory responsible for the funding of their team.”

 

02) Restate the first paragraph of Section Seven, replacing it with the following:

“This Cooperation Agreement shall be valid for a period of five years from the date of its signing, and will thus remain in effect until February 17, 2016. The Signatories may terminate this Agreement by written notice, with a period of six months in advance.”

 

Except as specifically amended hereby, the terms and conditions of the Cooperation Agreement remain in full force and effect.

 

Thereby, in mutual consent of the Signatories, this Amendment is signed in two copies, in English and Portuguese, both texts being equally authentic.
