FAPESP announces result of call for proposals with DoE and FAPEAM Versão em português
The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) and the Amazonas Research Foundation (FAPEAM) make public the result of a call for proposals for the exchange of researchers in support of GOAmazon Campaign Science.
This announcement represents the first collaborative research opportunity between DoE’s Atmospheric Systems Research (ASR), Regional and Global Climate Modeling (RGCM), and Terrestrial Ecosystem Science (TES) programs along with the Brazilian state research funding agencies FAPESP, through its Program for Research on Global Climate Change (PFPMCG),and FAPEAM.
The call was open to researchers from DoE and the State of São Paulo, Brazil, or from DoE, the State of São Paulo, Brazil and the State of Amazonas, Brazil. The aim is to promote and strengthen collaborations in the field of Amazonian Tropical Ecosystems.
FAPESP is prepared to fund the total amount of up to R$ 6.000.000,00 to the selected proposals from the State of São Paulo, DoE is prepared to fund equivalent of up to R$ 12.000.000,00 to the selected proposals from USA, and FAPEAM is prepared to fund the total amount of up to R$ 6.000.000,00 to the selected proposals from Amazon.
The maximum duration of each project is 36 months.
